i prefer making baju kurung moden rather than traditional baju kurung.  i think it gives more space to experiment on my creativity.  i am trying to incorporate raglan sleeves into the baju kurung moden in my next project.  alya prefers a looser armhole. i learn that a bigger armhole for set in sleeve will result in more restrictive arm movement.

the one in the middle is for my sister.

this hari raya, i am making baju kurung moden for lisa and alya.

drafted the patterns for the baju kurung 2 days ago.  made one prototype for lisa.  had to make a few adjustments.

will be posting the photos of the paper pattern and the w.i.p later this week.  stay tuned :)

i made this cotton long sleeve dress or a baju kurung moden - a work in progress

i have ventured into long sleeve dresses.  worn with a maxi skirt.  i bought this fabric from a friend.  it is cotton....from india.  it is lightweight and smooth.  love it.

loose fitting.  don't need any zipper or other closure

simple neckline, wide enough to slip the dress over my head

i've been making these cotton sleeveless tops and dresses

these tops and dresses have not been pressed nor ironed prior to the photo shoot.  nonetheless, they still hang pretty well :)

they are supper comfy.  worn underneath an oversize jumper or a denim jacket..... or over a cotton long sleeve t.  these are the my staple wardrobe at the moment.  they are versatile.....can be dressed up or down.  just accessorise.

it's 2014, and this is tuten....our new love

tuten....in the sewing room :)

this is tuten.
my cousin Ida, gave us tuten when our pet rabbit died last november.
we were so sad and tuten brought back the joy into our lives.
he is aloof but adorable in so many ways.
we all love him so so much :)

it is december already!

it has been a while since my last post.

i have done a few garment sewing but couldn't find the time to post them.  will try to do that soon. and there's photos from the trip to seoul too.
